Franco is a proud Inuit cultural educator, bear monitor, and storyteller, sharing his deep connection to the Arctic.

Franco Sheatiapik Buscemi is from Iqaluit, Nunavut, where he learned Inuktitut, his mother tongue. Working with Inuit-led organizations and businesses, he has travelled to the four Inuit land claim regions in Canada and the twenty-five communities in Nunavut.

Franco joined the Adventure Canada expedition team with the Nalunaiqsijiit training program and is now a Zodiac driver, bear monitor, and Inuit cultural educator.

Residing in Ottawa, Ontario, he is co-host of the Uqallagvik radio show on CKCU 93.1 FM radio and is the Inuit community liaison at Carleton University.

Franco welcomes all opportunities to return to the Arctic.
